THE ULTIMATE CAKE RECIPE FOR KETO CHOCOLATE

 Make this keto chocolate birthday cake for a special occasion or whenever you crave a sweet treat! I served it for my daughter's fifth birthday when we could still visit her classmates, and it was devoured by all the children (and parents). After that, the only adjustment I made was adding more sweeteners based on their suggestions, which is the final version.

I try to schedule my cake recipes around birthdays because I rarely bake cakes (instead, I make keto cupcakes for portion control), but it's well worth it for a special occasion. My traditional vanilla keto birthday cake from three years ago continues to be a hit!

 

Although it was initially been frosted with peanut butter, I created this chocolate keto cake recipe a few years ago. While it was delicious, I recently re-tested it with keto chocolate frosting. I determined that this was the victor, providing the flavour most people associate with this type of dish. 


If you prefer, you may substitute peanut butter for it, as my original did. I haven't posted the frosting recipe yet, but in the meanwhile, you can spread it with keto peanut butter mousse.

 

 

HOW IS KETO CHOCOLATE CAKE DESCRIBED ?

I was curious as to how a decadent-looking almond flour chocolate cake could be keto and low carb. I understand; it's difficult to imagine this cake contains only 5 grammes of net carbohydrates per serving! So, how did we accomplish this?

 

Instead of refined white flour, we're using wholesome almond flour and my very own Best allulose sweetener instead of pure white sugar. However, make no mistake about it - this low carb chocolate cake is every bit as luscious, rich, and moist as the original.

 

 

KETO CHOCOLATE CAKE METHOD

This recipe for sugar-free chocolate cake comes together in less than an hour! The following are the straightforward steps: Prepare the pans. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line the bottoms of two 9-inch round springform pans with parchment paper.

 

Combine butter and sweetener in a mixing bowl. Combine the Best allulose and butter in a large mixing bowl until frothy. Combine wet and dry components. Incorporate eggs one at a time, followed by almond milk, sour cream, and vanilla extract.

 

Combine the dry ingredients. Combine almond flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder in a separate bowl. The batter will be neither too liquid nor too thick - it will be somewhere in between. Divide batter evenly between two prepared baking pans with a spatula, smooth the top.

 

Bake a chocolate cake with almond flour. When the top springs back and a toothpick pushed into the centre comes out clean, it is complete. Allow cooling completely in the pans before running a knife along the sides and flipping to release.

FROSTING TIPS FOR EASY KETO CHOCOLATE CAKE


I used 3 1/2 cups frosting — keep this in mind when planning. The majority of two-tier cake recipes call for approximately 4 cups icing, but I used somewhat less. Because the cake is so vivid and caloric, I didn't see the need to add more. 3/4 cup between layers, 1 1/4 cup on top.


 and 1 1/2 cup on the sides, for a total of 3 1/2 cups. To be safe, build extra so that you can conceal any defects and embellish the top. (Leftover frosting is acceptable as a topping for keto ice cream or straight off the spoon!)

 

Suppose you wish to adorn the top, double the icing amount. Cake decorating requires an abundance of additional frosting. It's easier to apply frost with an icing spatula. Utilizing one prevents stickiness and ensures that it is used evenly. A cake stand is advantageous for frosting since it enables you to rotate your keto-friendly chocolate cake as it is frosted.

 

Frost the flat surfaces first, followed by the sides. Begin by icing the flat top of the bottom layer, then adding and frosting the top layer. Finally, complete the sides. At the conclusion, I usually return to check for any errors. After that, serve! I recommend slicing it thinly because it is so colourful and luscious.

 

KETO CHOCOLATE CAKE SUBSTITUTIONS


AM I PERMITTED TO USE COCONUT FLOUR?

Sorry, but no. To substitute coconut flour, you'd need to make several changes to the recipe. It's so unique that I can't recommend it without first giving it a try. If you are nut-free, you may substitute sunflower seed meal for the almond flour 1:1, but the cake's colour, texture, and flavour may be slightly altered.
